I have been using Linux on my phone for years, try it once, you’re probably going to love it
can it work on huawei nova 10 pro phone?
anybody tried to play sound in it? i dont understand how to
This is great. Going to try this for my coding projects.
can you still use the phone funcions?
Hi there where can I download it please
PFUHC FONES! POOTERS SLAY! There is NO WAY for a fone to OUT PERFORM A POOTER, unless yer usin DOS or Win 95, 98 or 8.
I have 7s gen4/ Adreno 810 will hw acc. Work properly?
Clickbait – works only on Pixel phones.
I would like to follow your tutorial to try Linux on my smartphone but the Temux X11 application is not available in the F-Droid store. How can I fix this?
Please make a video how to install software (debian) and make visible app icon on desktop. I need to open terminal every time when i install new. Software did sync with xfce4 desktop
Will it work on my samsung fold 4
please make step by step to install steam' already install but still have error for steam
and how to login on ubuntu like u not xfce desktop
can it run x86 programs?
Verrry well done bro it's peak on my tablet hell fast and smooth and does everything normal that a Linux distro does (not special stuff but it's great)
Is the pixel native terminal offers more performance than the Termux/snapdragon setup ?
What phones are you using?
did the install but can't get X11 to show the desktop – Can you reach out to me I'll pay you for support
None of these links work nor do the instructions
Big Thanks havent tested it yet! I was about to buy a Rasperry 4 2GB for having a mini linux in case of traveling (I dont want to buy a 200 0 400 used laptop just for traveling) but this changes everything!
I can't get xfce4 to start in proot can you help me
What are the pros and cons of the 3 methods of adding Linux onto an Android OS?
Hi the most important question I'm interested in is can it run office 365 and DaVinci Resolve
thanks bro for making it so simple for us
Thank u bro. Amazing job. Pixel 6 got native USB-C Display Output?
Can you check out a setup with nixos and plasma? Please. TY for all the info.
or just use postmarketos for real linux on your phone
Unfortunately on my nothing phone 3a your Droid desk doesn't work for me. The start script always crashes and if I let chatgpt modify the script proof couldn't install GUI apps. Only the GUI apps from the Termux user repo worked
The script's setup has incredible potential, we just need to fix:
the app syncing script being slightly wrong
dbus being a bit ???
lack of working systectl on ubuntu
general parity with a normal desktop
To be clear: this is already Exactly what you want if you are thinking: "this would be extremely easy if I had a school laptop". Just maybe not yet "… if I had my laptop"-tier, because Termux and proot are extremely finicky, especially without a guide.
Can you checkout my own project droidspaces? It's basically 3 months old, but has 1.1K stars now. Native unkillable Linux containers with systemd/openrc/runit/sysvinit support 🙂
Its funny how they say "ANY" phone into a PC, while technically true, only flagships and a few midrangers support display out… a mandatory feature if you really want to call it a proper PC, because good luck getting any productivity with that tiny screen, specially with phones ppi resolutions (making every Linux icon smaller)
My nothing phone 2a plus does support linux terminal experimental I checked thanks Nothing 😁🥰
Andreno 619/snapdragon 695 yea i think ik why its little slow but good for midrange
When Google kills Android fully (or at least the essence of what Android used to be), this will be crucial
The question, can run games on proton inside linux?
DroidDesk is pretty broken in places. With Mate and Ubuntu the menu sync script is referencing the wrong paths. Also after installing libre office you can't run write and calc at the same time. Also the filesystem paths are confusing and apps don't know where they are or what paths they should be referencing. Try loading a recent file from the Mate menu. Needs a lot of work to be usesable.
Please do a video comparing 3D applications performance on different phones, i do a lot of 3D printing and modeling, i had the S25 Termux setup with Prusaslicer, it was working well enough but with some bugs and glitches, i would be curious to see it running on the Pixel
