  1. sudo apt-key add winehq.key:
    When i did this in terminal it said this: gpg: can't open 'winehq.key': No such file or directory. How do I solve this issue? I'm currently running this Zorin OS btw.

  2. I followed the steps but I got this error

    im using pop os I think ubuntu version will work right

    Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
    requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
    distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
    or been moved out of Incoming.
    The following information may help to resolve the situation:

    The following packages have unmet dependencies:
    winehq-stable : Depends: wine-stable (= 7.0.0.0~focal-1)
    E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages

  3. if you can help with this man, its driving me crazy– The following packages have unmet dependencies:

    winehq-stable:i386 : Depends: wine-stable:i386 (= 7.0.0.0~impish-1)

    E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

  4. I have a problem :

    i do : "sudo apt install –install-recommends winehq-stable"

    I receive this : "
    Reading package lists… Done
    Construction of the outbuilding tree
    Reading Status Information… Done
    Some packages cannot be installed. This may mean
    that you asked for the impossible, or if you use
    the unstable distribution, which some packages do not yet have
    have been created or are not out of Incoming.
    The following information should help you resolve the situation:

    The following packages contain unmet dependencies:
    winehq-stable: Depends on: wine-stable (= 7.0.0.0~focal-1)
    E: Unable to fix issues, defective packages are in “Keep Good” mode."

    Original message (in french) (we never know): "Lecture des listes de paquets…

  5. Hi Linux Panic,
    I have a strong intention to install WineHQ on Ubuntu 20.04, But at the final step I got error messages relevant to packages versions.

    laci@sanyika:~$ sudo aptitude install winehq-stable

    The following packages have unmet dependencies:
    perl-base : Conflicts: perl-base:i386 but 5.30.0-9ubuntu0.2 is to be installed
    perl-base:i386 : Conflicts: perl-base but 5.30.0-9ubuntu0.2 is installed
    snmp : Conflicts: snmp:i386 but 5.8+dfsg-2ubuntu2.3 is to be installed
    snmp:i386 : Conflicts: snmp but 5.8+dfsg-2ubuntu2.3 is installed
    wine-stable : Depends: libc6 (>= 2.34) but 2.31-0ubuntu9.7 is installed
    perl : Conflicts: perl:i386 but 5.30.0-9ubuntu0.2 is to be installed
    perl:i386 : Conflicts: perl but 5.30.0-9ubuntu0.2 is installed
    wine-stable-i386:i386 : Depends: libc6:i386 (>= 2.34) but 2.31-0ubuntu9.7 is installed
    Depends: libldap-2.5-0:i386 (>= 2.5.4) which is a virtual package and is not provided by any available package

    wine-stable-amd64 : Depends: libc6 (>= 2.34) but 2.31-0ubuntu9.7 is installed
    Depends: libldap-2.5-0 (>= 2.5.4) which is a virtual package and is not provided by any available package

    How can I solve the dependency problem? Thanks.

  6. Error E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. And this is why I stay with Windows! When in windows it would have been a click link to get exe and double click to install.

  7. Unfortunately it didn't quite work for me:
    The following packages have unmet dependencies.
    winehq-stable : Depends: wine-stable (= 7.0.0.0~focal-1)
    E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
