They mention raspberry pi support on their website have you had any luck?
Loved the video man. Nice presentation love your charismatic voice.
has anyone done code audit on all this Google sponsored code to make sure there's no spyware and/or backdoor access points?
It is a work in progress, but it looks amazing, will check it out
Too bad they do not have support for AMD devices…
If I were heavily invested in a mobile device and wanted a unified experience combining desktop PC with said device I could see myself trying it out. The sort of work meta of using one then continuing on the other as needed/convenient.
Never leave light mode on, never! 😎
This is a very promising Operating system. The settings looks very professional. I wish Dahlia OS will continue to deliver the kind of experience which a user wants to do daily tasks
Interesting. Certainly unique. Not sure really what to think of it. Definitely something to keep an eye on
Nice discovery. This will be fun to play with, regardless of its alpha status. The double kernel is something I never thought of before. Jeeeez Troy you're making my brain explode…in a good way.
Looks good 😛
I read up on this and it certainly does look interesting as an OS. With some more polish and apps it could be something to rival chrome os without all the Google infrastructure
Hey eBuzz, Make your life easier and put Ventoy on a USB stick. They just drag or save your isos to it, then boot from the usb. It's much faster and cleaner. Preparing custom USBs is akin to burning a DVD to try an OS. Unless you enjoy wasting your time….
We don't need another desktop that is only 1% different from all the others that are also 1% different from each other
You learn something new every single day.I had no idea…
What display server it use?
Hi Troy 👍you did a video a couple of months back about how to remove windows virusus using Linux. So yesterday I put that into practice and removed a load from a friend's laptop using your video instructions and Linux. My friend was lost for words. His laptop is now virus free & he's looking into moving onto Linux. Thank you very much for your video & instructions. YouTube provides the goods again 👍👍😁
The Website Demo is nice .. I will keep an eye on Dahlia OS …really good job… kinda Zorin and Deepin look to me … might try after alpha
Might actually try this.
Hi, awesome video! I'd like to answer a few of your questions. So, for starters, the zircon build is only available as a VM through FImage, the Linux builds are used to determine the eventual functionality of the system. The RAM usage should be lower, it looks like the web runtime was open in the background. As for the web runtime, that's built using electron, unfortunately, we encountered limitations with platform views on Flutter that would have allowed us to create a native solution using pure webkit. All in all, great video! We've definitely got a ways to go before it's really usable, but we will get there!
